iVET - FET Transition Year Programme

The Initial Vocational Education and Training or iVET module is an optional Transition Year module developed collaboratively by the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA), Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI), and SOLAS (Further Education and Training Authority) to strengthen links between schools and Further Education and Training (FET).

The iVET module is available nationwide and aims to increase the number of valuable FET and apprenticeship taster courses happening in TY Programmes across Ireland, giving the opportunity for more students to benefit from the FET taster experience and broaden their horizons.
