Tourism and Hospitality Summit
The National Tourism and Hospitality Summit returns to Citywest Exhibition Centre in Dublin on 5th September. It brings together more than 2,000 senior managers from the tourism and hospitality sectors to network and listen to talks from leading industry figures.
Key areas covered include experience tourism, restaurant trends and opportunities, digital marketing, big data and travel technology. The expo is co-located with other events in Citywest Exhibition Centre – including the Artisan and Fine Foods Show, the Food, Retail & Hospitality Show and the Future Food Factory Expo - and attendees can move between them all.
The Irish tourism sector is showing no signs of slowing down, following on from a record breaking 2018.
And a report from Irishjobs.ie shows that tourism remains one of Ireland’s strongest performing sectors. Their latest survey showed that hotel and catering vacancies soared 13%, quarter-on-quarter, and by 9% year-on-year.
All of which is very encouraging to anyone considering embarking on a career in tourism and hospitality in Ireland. Career opportunities abound and progression rates are excellent in terms of moving up the career ladder, given the right attitude and work ethic.
